Welcome to the website for Ride On: Equine Photographs by Niki van Buuren. Please click on the links on the left of the page to navigate through the site.
I am an equine photographer operating in the Canberra and Southern Highlands of New South Wales. I specialise in creative portraits of horses with (or without, if they are camera shy!) their humans.
My aim is to capture the horse at its most natural, and as such I try to conduct portrait sessions in an as relaxed and unobtrusive way as possible.
As part of my graduating portfolio in my degree last year, I created a book of equine photographs titled Ride On. The book was on display at the High Court of Australia in early December of 2006. At this stage I am not offering copies of the book for sale, but am aiming to produce a calendar for purchase in time for 2008.
